After the Doctors promotion 1986

Photo after the Doctors promotion in Lund 1986. The Doctors promotion is a very traditional spectacle (possibly somewhat silly it its strict Latin academic manners), taking place in the cathedral of Lund in the end of May every year. It has nothing to do with the defense of the PhD-Thesis, or even with the formal granting of the PhD. (The word "promotion" should therefore not be confused with the German word "Promotion".) The hat, which is my personal possession (as opposed to the tail coat, which was rented ...), is a genuine Doctors Hat from Lund University.
